Valley Creek Fire

The Valley Creek Fire near the Lost Trail Wildlife Refuge has grown to 75 acres. Heavy air support, equipment and manpower are hitting it. It’s believed to be human-caused. No structures are threatened.

Lost Trail Fire

Firefighters and aircraft are responding to a report of a several acre-size fire near the Lost Trail Wildlife Refuge. When we have more information, we will report it. So, no need to message us asking for updates, please.

Downed Power Lines

We have multiple call outs for downed power lines and trees this morning. If you’re affected, please be patient and careful.

Red Flag Warning

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning today between noon and 10 PM (Saturday, August 29, 2020). A Red Flag Warning means high fire danger with increased probability of a quickly spreading vegetation fire in the area. Please, exercise caution with any activity that could cause a spark.

Lobo Trail Fire

The Lobo Trail Fire was a lightning holdover from August 19th. It was contained and completely extinguished on August 20th. It only grew to approximately 1/10th an acre. Lost Prairie Fire

Early yesterday afternoon (Saturday, August 09, 2020) dispatch alerted Marion Fire to a structure fire on Lower Lost Prairie Road. Unfortunately, the property owners suffered a complete loss of the structure and a vehicle. The fire eventually covered 1.5 acres of property/wildland interface. The fire is 100% contained. We are grateful to DNRC and Fisher River Fire for their assistance...

Loch Fires

Our firefighters, as well as DNRC's, handled two small wildland fires on the west side of Little Bitterroot Lake today. The fires were probably human-caused. The fire danger level is currently HIGH.
