Update #2 on Hubbart Dam Fire

The wildfire burning 12 miles southwest of Marion is 121.5 acres. 50 personnel are on site working on containment. No structures are threatened. Despite winds, firefighters are cautiously optimistic, because there is a dozer line around perimeter of fire zone. Crews expect to work the fire a few more days. Hubbart Dam Fire

The Hubbart Dam Fire, a ten acre fire south of Marion about 1 mile east of Hubbard Reservoir, began burning in grass, brush and timber yesterday (October 6, 2020). Marion Fire is assisting DNRC. UPDATE #4 Valley Creek Fire

UPDATE #4 on Valley Creek Fire. Size remains at 104 acres, but is 90% contained. The fire is producing very little smoke. The smoke in our area is from a 375-acre fire near Libby, two fires in Canada, and is projected to thicken with additional smoke from Oregon and California.
