CANCELLED: Marion Freedom Day

Regretfully, Marion Freedom Day (our community's 4th of July parade-carnival-BBQ that we host) is cancelled. A majority of the Marion Fire District's Board of Directors decided to cancel the event, because of COVID-19. Hopefully, we will be able to host the event next year.

Our Auxiliary's Raffle Fundraiser

The Marion Fire Auxiliary announced 2020's prizes and plans for its annual raffle ticket sales. Open Burning Now Allowed Without Permit

Open burning is now allowed without a permit until the end of November. Please, follow these bare minimum guidelines: Comply with air quality restrictions. Fall's Open Burning Season Starts October 1st

Cooler temperatures and precipitation recently dropped our fire danger level to "Moderate." However, please don't jump the gun and start burning your slash piles and agricultural debris. Open burning is still prohibited. Fall's open burning season starts on October 1st and runs until November 30th without the need for a burn permit. Have more questions about burning?
