Welcome!

We are a rural fire district in Flathead County, Montana that covers over 500 square miles of Fire Service Area, which includes over 40 square miles of Fire District. For perspective, if you drove from the furthest tract in the northeast (on the south-side of Ashley Lake) to the tract in the southwest (off of Thompson River Road near Sanders County), you would log more than 42 miles! We are assisted by Fisher River FD to our west and Smith Valley FD to our East.

The green are is our east response area, the red is our west response area, and the purple is the area that Fisher River FD will respond as mutual aid. The yellow squares are properties within the district specifically.

Our fire department operates three fire stations. The main station is across from Marion School on Gopher Lane. Sub-stations are near McGregor Lake and Ashley Lake. We try to hold multiple community events throughout the year. The events include pancake breakfasts, Easter egg hunt, and a holiday dinner.
