One Less Spark, Means One Less Wildfire

· By MFD Staff
People cause 90% of wildfires!
  • Please, avoid driving and parking in dry grass and brush. Stay on designated roads and trails on public lands. Exhaust pipes and vehicle undercarriages can be very hot and easily start a wildfire.
  • Carry a fire extinguisher in your vehicle and know how to use it.
  • If you're going to tow a trailer, ensure its chains are not dragging on the ground. Make certain tires' pressure is right; driving on exposed wheel rims can throw sparks.
